Dress Code Policy

At Leupp Elementary School, we strive to create a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for all students. In alignment with Flagstaff Unified School District policy, students are expected to dress in a way that supports a positive educational setting.

To maintain this standard, the following items and themes are not permitted on clothing, backpacks, or accessories:

  • References to illegal drugs or chemicals

  • Images or language promoting violence or cruelty

  • Depictions of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products

  • Obscenities, nudity, profanity, or vulgar language

  • Content that expresses racial, ethnic, sexual, or religious prejudice

  • Gang-related attire or symbols

  • Bare midriffs, spaghetti straps, or other revealing clothing

  • Hats, hoods, or head coverings worn indoors (unless for religious or medical reasons)

  • Images of skeletons on any items

Dress Code Enforcement

If a student arrives at school wearing prohibited items, they may be asked to:

  • Turn the item inside out

  • Change into alternate clothing

  • Have a parent or guardian bring appropriate clothing to school

We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a respectful and distraction-free environment where all students can focus on learning. If you have any questions about the dress code, please contact the front office.
